We’ve been dating for just about a year now and have had a pretty smooth relationship, save our one big problem: internet gaming. I hate games like WoW and Everquest and he simply can’t get enough. Rather, he’s completely addicted. He’s since quit but now has what we call "attacks" nearly every day. He gets depressed and moody for long periods of time most of the time resulting in a minor argument or me in tears because I’m scared I’ve forced him to change. However, I still stand firm that if he’s addicted he shouldn’t be playing. He doesn’t think he is, but can’t be happy without the stupid game. How can I save us?
I know one year is not long term. However, we’ve already discussed long term plans (i.e. living together, possible proposal, etc). So by long term I mean, we’re going to be together for a long period of time, possibly even till death do us part.
He is actually addicted. I have psychology degree so I’m not just flying by the seat of my pants.
I’m not co-dependent and have plenty of my own hobbies.
He has a large amount of hobbies he has replaced the gaming with. The problem is he still suffers from depression due to this game.
And no, I am not a family marriage therapist. I work with little kids, so this is completely out of my range.
He has to save himself in order to save the relationship. You arent the one with addiction so there is NOTHING you can do do to save the relationship. You have to convince him to get help. Its either your those damn games. Tell him to cut back on his playing time. If he cuts back a little each day then he will eventually stop being addicted. Why dont you both take up a hobby together, that way he isnt playing video games and you two can have time together.

My wife and I are seperated and I have gave her divorce papers already, the only reason I did was because I am so frusterated and don’t know what else to do how can I save my marriage. we barley even talk to each other.much less see each other but she will not sign the papers. What do I do?
she obviously doesn’t want a divorce, so u still have a chance to make things right. so ask her why she is so distant.u save it by going back in there and fighting for it, not running away and asking for a divorce when things don’t go your way.

Ive been going out with my boyfriend for a month and a half. He hasn’t called me for two weeks and the last time i got a text from him was a week ago. ive tried to text him but he doesnt reply. Is there any way that this relationship can be saved or should i end it and if yes then how?
he lives an hour and a half away should i go see him or is that too much? I know his phone was somewhat broken last time i saw him but i kno if he really wanted to he could of called me from someone elses phone eventhou hes busy with work n skool….
Step1
Talk on the phone with your significant other at least once a day. Communication is the most important part of any relationship and that goes double for a long distance relationship. Since you can’t physically be with the one you love, converse with one another via telephone or cell phone. Just hearing the voice of the person you love can make a long distance relationship easier.
Step2
Use text messaging as a form of communication with your significant other. Depending on how far away that person is from you, you may find that the two of you are on different life schedules. Perhaps you work different shifts and can’t speak with your loved one as often as you would like. Using your phones to text message one another is a simple way to keep in touch throughout the day.
Step3
Write emails to one another and talk to one another using instant messaging programs online. This is especially convenient if one or both of you work an office job and are constantly at the computer. Numerous instant messaging programs exist and many email services now offer their own instant messaging services.
Step4
Plan a surprise trip to see your significant other. Chances are that any problems you are experiencing in your long distance relationship will be taken care of once you spend time with your loved one. Make sure that you plan your trip at a time when your loved one has nothing planned. Going to see your significant other on a weekend when that person has concert tickets, for example, is not wise.
Step5
Send mail and small gifts periodically to your loved one. It may sound somewhat goofy, but little gifts once a month can really put a smile on a person’s face. These gifts should be meaningful and also have some humor to them. For example, you could find funny “wishing you were here” greeting card or a book of matches from a restaurant the two of you love to go to in your area.
Step6
Know when your loved one needs a little space. Sometimes when two people are in a long distance relationship, it can actually make things more difficult to constantly talk with one another. If you feel that your significant other needs some time, be willing to go without talking for a day. Since you’re in a long distance relationship, you both have lives outside of the relationship. Get involved with other matters for 24 hours and take your mind off of problems.
